Crude Oil Transloading Facility

The objective of this project was to construct a track facillity for the transloading of crude oil for Casper Crude to Rail. This project posed some unique challenges because of the restricted amount of space for construction, due to a large swath of wetlands to the east of the construction site. Because of these constraints, a unique approach to locating the loading site was taken, where the site was placed on the inside of the southern curve. An additional challenge posed by the limited space was in the inability to fi t three unit trains into the space. This problem was overcome using two length sidings on either on the of the two rail loops, which allowed for three unit trains to use the facility at one time.
