OVERVIEW

This facility is a destination point for Martin Marietta to receive and unload aggregate materials from their Granite Canyon location. 360 provided both design and construction of this facility, including a single track siding, track loop, and a bad order track with unit train capacity. We were able to overcome numerous challenges in this project including a major gas-line that ran across the property. Our engineers were able to successfully design the facility in a way that did not disturb the gas-line. Additionally, due to the facilities close proximity to a residential area, provisions were made for sound limitation including a 20 foot high berm. Finally, our team was able to overcome challenges in grading posed by the conflicting slope of the facility and the surrounding terrain.
